Carbon Footprint Stem Project

  Su döngüsü ile ilgili hikaye tamamlama etkinliğini gerçekleştirdik ve oluşturduğumuz bölüm ile ilgili ortak bir resim çalışması yaptık.

  Wordart uygulamasını kullanarak su döngüsü ve suyun hayatımızdaki yeri ile ilgili öğrencilerden aldığımız anahtar kelimelerden bir görsel oluşturduk. Öğrenciler kendi yarattıkları bu görselin şekillerini değiştirerek yeni stiller oluşturdu.

YEŞİM MARGILIÇ  ŞEHİT ÜSTEĞMEN GÖKHAN YAVUZ PRIMARY SCHOOL   3C CLASS   IMPORTANCE OF WATER VIDEO To understand the importance of World Water Day and water itself, we watched an informative video, once again emphasizing the vital role of water in our lives. Dünya Su Günü'nün ve suyun önemini daha iyi anlamak için, suyun hayatımızdaki hayati rolünü bir kez daha vurgulayan bilgilendirici bir video izledik.

 

  Şehit Üsteğmen Gökhan Yavuz İlkokulu Müdürü Güven Altın öncülüğünde Karbon Ayak İzi #Stem Projesi kapsamında İstanbul Su ve Kanalizasyon İdaresi işbirliğiyle okulumuzda Hayatmızda Su konulu seminer düzenledi.  Öğrencilerimize suyun evimize ulaşana kadar hangi aşamalardan geçtiği, suyun önemi, değeri ve bir vatandaş olarak suya nasıl, neden sahip çıkmamız gerektiği anlatıldı. Under the leadership of Güven Altın, the Principal of Şehit Üsteğmen Gökhan Yavuz Primary School, a seminar on Water in Our Lives was organized in our school in cooperation with Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration within the scope of the Carbon Footprint #Stem Project.  Our students were told about the stages that water goes through until it reaches our homes, the importance and value of water and how and why we should protect water as a citizen.

 

 

 

 

  MERVE ALTUĞ - ŞEHİT ÜSTEĞMEN GÖKHAN YAVUZ PRİMARY SCHOOL CLASS 2 C PARTICIPATED IN THE "WATER IN OUR LİVES" SEMINAR IN OUR SCHOOL. HE LEARNED THE STEPS THAT WATER TAKES THROUGH UNTIL IT COMES TO OUR HOME. HE UNDERSTOOD BETTER THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER AND HOW WE SHOULD USE IT.

 YEŞİM MARGILIÇ  ŞEHİT ÜSTEĞMEN GÖKHAN YAVUZ PRIMARY SCHOOL  3C CLASS  DIGITAL CLEANING DAY  As Class 3C, we have done a digital cleanup to make our computers, tablets and phones more organized, secure and faster by deleting unnecessary files, unused applications and old messages. Just like tidying up our room, we should also keep our digital world organized. In this way, our devices work better, our information is safe and we cause less harm to the environment. 3C sınıfı olarak bilgisayarlarımızı, tabletlerimizi ve telefonlarımızı daha düzenli, güvenli ve hızlı hale getirmek için gereksiz dosyaları, kullanılmayan uygulamaları ve eski mesajları silerek dijital temizlik yaptık. Tıpkı odamızı toplamak gibi, dijital dünyamızı da düzenli tutmalıyız. Bu sayede cihazlarımız daha iyi çalışır, bilgilerimiz güvende olur ve çevreye de daha az zarar vermiş oluruz.

During our Turkish language class reading time, we went to the school library and read books on the subject of WATER, which is our theme for this month. We all gave our own answer to the question. "What is water to you?" Türkçe dersimizde okuma saatinde okul kütüphanesine gidip bu ayki temamız olan SU konusuyla ilgili kitaplar okuduk."Su sizin için ne ifade ediyor?" sorusuna hepimiz kendi cevabımızı verdik.

  YEŞİM MARGILIÇ - 3C CLASS - OUR RECYCLING PROJECT ŞEHİT ÜSTEĞMEN GÖKHAN YAVUZ PRIMARY SCHOOL We repeated the importance of recycling for our world. In thıs context, we made pencıl holders for ourselves by  using the plastic bottles  we collected for recycling  in our class.   Geri dönüşümün dünyamız için önemini tekrar ettik. Bu bağlamda sınıfımızda geri dönüşüm için biriktirdiğimiz plastik şişeleri kullanarak kendimize kalemlik yaptık.

YEŞİM MARGILIÇ WE HELD OUR MEETING IN MARCH   06.03.2025

 

  With the help of the computer teacher, students were given an introductory Canva lesson. They were asked to design a logo on the topic of carbon footprint. Students' works

In collaboration with the science teacher, students were provided with information about the recycling of organic waste. To enhance their learning through hands-on experience, they transformed their own organic waste. Curriculum Integration Students learn how waste decomposes in nature and contributes to recycling. Students understand soil formation and the natural material cycle. Developing observation, data collection, and inference skills.  

The importance of being a global citizen was emphasized, and students symbolically signed a Global Citizenship certificate.  

To emphasize the importance of e-safety, collaboration was made with experts in the field, and a seminar was conducted in the classroom.  

  To raise awareness about reducing the carbon footprint, the benefits of consuming winter fruits and vegetables were discussed and practiced.

A school bulletin board was created to inform the school based on students’ research.  

Students carried out the puzzle activity simultaneously.

  Students researched the carbon footprint and created a classroom bulletin board.
